Treble (musical group)

Treble is a Dutch band from Limburg, the three female members: Caroline Hoffman (born 17 November 1975), Djem van Dijk (born 2 July 1987) and her sister Niña van Dijk (born 26 May 1985). Treble has a very unique and own style of music. They sing partly in English, but also in their so-called "Treble - taal " (Eng. "Treble - language "). Many of her songs have a kind of African rhythm.

Band History

Foundation

1995 Caroline Hoffman learned the siblings Van Dijk know who were 10 -year-old children are still in the moment. The parents of Niña and Djem want their two daughters with good musical accompaniment to be educated because they have a lot to do with singing and dancing. In Caroline they see the perfect teacher who also agreed eventually. She teaches the siblings how to deal with music, what is in it and what you can get everything out of her. The trio is understood already at first very good, and quite early comes the idea of his own band: Treble. They accompany themselves with guitar and African percussion instruments, such as the conga and djembe. Since Niña and Djem not yet mastered the English language, Caroline brings them a language with which they themselves have invented: the so-called "Treble - language".

Start time

In the years after Caroline, Niña and Djem occur as Treble at many parties, on holidays in Italy and Greece, and on the road. With the performances on the road, the trio knows quickly to get attention. 2002 Treble wins the Sjengske, the prize for the best young musical talent of Limburg. Consequently, Treble occurs on regional and rural television programs, and after some time managed by the A & R manager Ruud van Dulkenraad, from the record company CNR Records. For a whole year Treble working on songs for her debut album in a studio in Volendam. On 29 September 2003 Ramaganana is published, written the first single from the group of treble, produced by Peter van Asten. The swinging hit was entirely sung in the "Treble - language". Initially, the song was not very good in the Dutch hit lists on, but after an appearance on the talk show Barend & Van Dorp and 50 appearances in CD shops of the most famous shopping streets in the Netherlands, Ramaganana finally made ​​it to number one on the charts.

Euro Vision Song Contest

In 2006 Treble took as a Dutch contribution to the song Amambanda the Euro Vision Song Contest in Athens in part. When Twentieth in the semifinals, the group did not qualify for the final.
