Trent Edwards ( born October 30, 1983 in Los Gatos, California) is an American professional American football player of Armenian descent. He plays the position of quarterback. He is currently a free agent.

Edwards played college football for Stanford University and has been in the NFL Draft in 2007 selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round as 92 players.

College

In 2002, Edwards began to play college football. At Stanford, he was in the years 2002 and 2003 replacement after starting quarterback Chris Lewis. Due to his impressive performances as a backup, he was for four games for starters, but then injured on the shoulder so he had to stop for the rest of the season. In 2004, he was the starting quarterback, but was injured again, so he had to cancel two games and two more could not play. His best year was Edwards in 2005 when he played in all eleven games for the team, 168 of 268 passes anbrachte, reaching 1,934 yards and 17 touchdowns. 2006 Edwards played the first seven games, then broke off but his foot and fell for the rest of the season.

NFL

Edwards was selected in 2007 by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the NFL Draft as 92 players. He had his NFL debut on September 23, 2007 in a game against the New England Patriots because the former quarterback of the Bills, JP Losman, was injured. After his first few games Edwards injured in October 2007, whereby JP Losman again became the starter. This then played poorly, however, which Edwards to end of November 2007 again became the starter.

In the 2008 season, Edwards injured during a game against the Arizona Cardinals on October 5. The moral of the Bills fell when they lost the game 41:17. Against the San Diego Chargers Edwards returned again, the Bills won the game 23:14. Then they laid out a series of defeats and won only rarely. Towards the end of the season Edwards was injured again, JP Losman replaced him and lost twice, so the Bills are no longer able to qualify for the play- offs.

2010 threw the Bill Edwards out of the squad. He subsequently played in 2010 at the Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders and 2012 at the Philadelphia Eagles, but was able to prevail in any team. He is currently a free agent.
