Trent Hunter

Trent Hunter ( born July 5, 1980 in Red Deer, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently with the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Trent Hunter began his career as a hockey player with the Prince George Cougars, for until 2000, he was active from 1997 in the Western Hockey League. During this time he was selected during the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the sixth round as the 150th overall player of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, for whom he never played, however, since the attacker Anaheim transferred in March 2000 to the New York Islanders. In the 2000 /01 season, Hunter was initially exclusively for their farm team, the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, on the ice before he in the Stanley Cup playoffs of the 2001/02 season his debut for the Islanders in the National Hockey League gave.

During the lockout in the 2004/ 05 NHL season Hunter was active for the then Swedish second division IK Nyköping. On 28 July 2011 he was transferred in exchange for Brian Rolston to the New Jersey Devils. These few days later put him together with Colin White on the Waiverliste and paid in August 2011 from his contract. This Hunter was available as Unrestricted Free Agent. In September 2011, Hunter took part in the training camp of the Los Angeles Kings, where he received a contract for the 2011/12 season in late September 2011.
