Trerice

History

The mansion was built in 1573 Trerice; The client was the fifth Sir John Arundel. To a descendant, caused mischief in this house, ghost stories entwined. For over 400 years - until 1802 - there was the manor house owned by the family and was then taken over by the Acland family, whose residence Killerton House in Devon was until 1915. After several more changes of ownership, it passed in 1953, the property of the National Trust.

The restored by the National Trust mansion is surrounded by manicured flower gardens and orchards.
