Trespassers William

Trespassers William was an American shoegaze and indie - rock band.

Band History

Trespassers William was founded in California in 1997. The inspiration for naming the band received from a story from the children's book series Winnie the Pooh. Your 1999 debut album Anchor remained largely unnoticed and also the first published and self-distributed 2002 album Different Stars reached in 2004 with the publication by the label Bella Union ( in Europe) and Nettwerk Records (worldwide) a wider public. In the same year Trespassers William moved to Seattle to record with producer Dave Fridmann the next album Having. This appeared in 2006. Finally, the band worked on an EP, which is titled The Natural Order of Things, which was released in 2009. The end of 2009 the band on a European tour was underway. In early 2012 the band gave their resolution known, but referred both to be published material as the solo projects of the members.

Style

While the first album may still be classified as folk -heavy, Trespassers William developed combined in sequence an ethereal sound, shoegaze, folk rock and ambient. Thus, they are in the tradition of dream pop bands like Mazzy Star.
