Trevor Arthur Smith, Baron Smith of Clifton

Trevor Arthur Smith, Baron Smith of Clifton, of Mountsandel in the County of Londonderry, Kt ( born June 14, 1937) is a British political scientist, university teacher and politician of the Liberal Democrats, who is a life peer member of the House of Lords since 1997.

Life

Studies, unsuccessful House candidate and university teachers

After schooling Smith holds a degree in political science and was once completed 1958-1959 first teacher, before he then until 1960 a part-time Assistant was Lecturer at the University of Exeter. In the meantime, he ran unsuccessfully in the general election on 8 October 1959 Lewisham West constituency for a parliamentary seat in the House of Commons.
