Trevor Drayton

Trevor Drayton ( * 1955, † 17 January, 2008 Pokolbin, New South Wales) was an Australian winemaker and entrepreneur, often described as an "icon " of the Australian wine industry.

Drayton came from an old family of winemakers. Between 1973 and 1978 he attended the Roseworthy Agricultural College and studied oenology. Then he returned to the family business and produced several award-winning wines. Most recently, he was chairman of the Hunter Valley Vineyard Association. The family Drayton 's Family Wines, he led, together with his father Max, his mother Caroline, and his brothers John and Greg.

In January 2008, he came at the age of 52 years in an explosion at the winery killed. Drayton was buried in Cessnock.
