Trevor Eve

Trevor John Eve (born 1 July 1951, Birmingham, England ) is a British actor who is best known for his roles in the crime series Shoestring and Waking the Dead.

Life

Trevor Eve initially studied architecture at Kingston University in London before he enrolled at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. His first major stage success celebrated the Briton as Paul McCartney in Willy Russell's Beatles - piece John, Paul, George, Ringo and Bert, which was premiered in 1974 at the Lyric Theatre in London's West End. 1979 Eve starred in his first television starring in the detective series Shoestring, 1982, he was awarded the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for his role in Mark Medoffs Children of a Lesser God. In 1997, he won the award again, this time for Best Supporting Actor in Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, which was staged in the Albery Theatre. Since 2000, Trevor Eve is to be seen as Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd in Waking the Dead. His German dubbing voice is spoken by Joachim Kerzel.

Trevor Eve is married to actress Sharon Maughan, with her he has three children, of whom the eldest daughter Alice is also active as an actress.
