The Triboldingerbohl, also Triboltinger or large Bohl, or Langenrain is, with an area of ​​135 570 m², the fourth largest island of Lake Constance. It is 780 meters long and up to 230 meters wide. It is located in the easternmost part of the lower lake near the spot where the shipyard, the submarine ( here Rheinsee ) opens. It belongs to the nature reserve Wollmatinger Ried, and Constance district industrial area. By 1934, this area belonged to the municipality Wollmatingen, which was then incorporated into the city of Constance. The Triboldingerbohl located 2.1 km southeast of the island of Reichenau and 1.6 km from the Reichenauer Street and is separated from it by the Ermatinger Becken, an ecologically important shallow water zone.

The uninhabited bird island takes its name, is the southern shore of the former until 1975 Triboltingen existing Swiss community, the most distant. Between the island and the mainland is the smaller island of mediator or Langbohl, separated only by a 30 to 50 meter wide channel.
