Triesnecker (crater)

Triesnecker is a 25 km large and very deep crater in the sinus Medii, an almost crater- free basalt plain in the middle of the visible moon half.

Triesnecker has a sharp, regular crater wall and is hardly eroded. Near its eastern edge runs a system of grooves in a northerly direction, the Rimae Triesnecker.
