Trieste Astronomical Observatory

The Astronomical Observatory of Trieste, Osservatorio Astronomico di Trieste Italian (OCT) is an observatory in Trieste, Italy.

The Observatory has its origin in a nautical academy, which was founded by Maria Theresa of Austria in 1753. 1851 an astronomical observatory was added and in 1923 it was included in the list of Italian observatories. Currently ( 2008) it belongs to the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica.
