Life and work

She is the daughter of prominent theologian, poet and former Catholic priest Huub Oosterhuis ( b. 1933 ) and the violinist Jozefien Melief of the Amsterdam Promenade Orchestra.

In 1990 she formed with her brother Tjeerd Oosterhuis (born 1971 ), the band Total Touch and participated in the Dutch Grote Prijs van Nederland junior competition. In 1994 she took with Candy Dulfer ( with whom she was also good friends later ) and accompanied this world for two years on tour. In 1995, she had great success in the Netherlands, the debut album Total Touch 1996 and their second album This Way 1998 reached platinum status with the band Total Touch. In 1996 she sang at the opening of the Amsterdam Arena ( De Zee ). The band broke up in 2001 finally to (her brother was producer) Trijntje Oosterhuis and pursued a solo career.
