Trikiti

The Trikitixa [ triki'tiʃa ] or Eskusoinu [ eɕku'ɕoɲu ] (Basque " hand sound " ) is a Basque diatonic accordion with normal two rows of diatonic key assignment as the Wiener model. On the bass side, twelve gleichtonige bass.

This expression of a diatonic instrument is known since the beginning of the 19th century, after it came to the Basque country of Italy through the port city of Bilbao.

The Basque music very often used this instrument in conjunction with vocals and tambourine. It is usually played with a lot of fast train ornaments and rapid pressure changes. Very often staccato triplets are used in music. The Catholic church was originally strongly opposed to the instrument and called it the " Fel " because it was specially used by the youth for dancing.

Apart from the actual musical instrument trikitixa may reflect the associated dance as well, which consists of accordionist, tambourine, Alboka or Txistu player music group call.

A modern players, for example, Kepa Junkera.
