Trimble County, Kentucky

Trimble County is a county located in the state of Kentucky in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Bedford. The county is one of the Dry counties, which means that the sale of alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

Geography

The County is located in northern Kentucky, is bordered to the north and northwest by the State of Indiana, separated by the Ohio River and has an area of 405 square kilometers, of which 19 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Carroll County, Henry County and Oldham County.

History

Trimble County was formed on February 9, 1837 from parts of Gallatin County, Henry County and Oldham County. It was named after Robert Trimble, a judge.

Demographic data
