Trimble Township is one of 14 townships of Athens County in the U.S. state of Ohio. At the census in 2000 4710 inhabitants were recorded.

Geography

Trimble Township is located in the extreme northwest of the Athens County in southeastern Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Monroe Township, Perry County, Homer Township, Morgan County, Ames Township, Dover Township, York Township, Ward Township, Hocking County and Coal Township ( Perry County).

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
