Trinidad (cigar)

Trinidad cigars are among the most exclusive cigars in Cuba, they were produced from 1969 in the El Laguito factory in Havana and given away by the end of 1998 by Fidel Castro exclusively at official guests of state visits to foreign diplomats or known artistic personalities.

Only since 1999, Trinidad cigars commercially available to the public. Originally there was only one size, since 2003, there are several formats. The special feature of these formats is that they are exclusively for the Trinidad cigars in application.

The name got the cigar after the city of La Santisima Trinidad ( The Holy Trinity ), which was built in the 16th century, is situated on the south coast of Cuba and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
