History

The city of Trinidad existed before they had built a church. Here lived a group of people who owned no land and who had no fixed abode. There are "los Santisima Trinidad de porongos " no exact founding date of because the city had a very long development process. In 1904 it was decided, however, that the founding date was July 18, 1804.

On December 30, 1885 Trinidad received by the legal regulation of the Ley no. 854 the status of a Ciudad (city).
