The Munizip Tripoli, Arab شعبية طرابلس, DMG Schab ʿ iyyat Tarabulus, is a Munizip ( Schabiyat ) of the Libyan Arab Republic.

Geography

The Munizip Tripoli is located in Tripoli, a region in the northwest of the country, on the Mediterranean coast. The capital of the Munizips is Tripoli.

Administrative history

From 1983 to 1995, today's Munizip Tripoli, organized as Baladiyat, already the present size. The 2001-2007 existing Schabiyat included only the city Tripoli and the surrounding area (400 km ²). In 2007, the last territorial reform took place in the Tajura Wa Al Nawahi Alarba ' (1430 km ²) and the area of the capital Tripoli were pooled for Munizip Tripoli.
