Triquetra

The Triquetra, also known as Triquetta or Triquetra, consists of three connected arcs. The name comes from the Latin, meaning triangular or node threesome or just triangle.

Shown is one provided in the form of an isosceles triangle with rounded arches geometric figure with three corners. In this figure arise round triangles inside. This triangle includes the aspects that will be said to have three in number. Optionally, it is occupied by a circle.

The Triquetra is already found 5000 years ago in the Indian art. Due to the proximity of the Celtic and Germanic cultural sphere an origin from one of the two is not clear derive. From the Celtic world, for example on Celtic crosses, the female symbol converts to a male symbol in Christianity, for example, in Gothic art. The Norwegian King Harald Hardrade ( king of 1047-1066 ) used it on his coinage. The icon is on the Book of Shadows of the series Charmed. Furthermore, used John Paul Jones, bassist of Led Zeppelin, the Triquetra as his characters.
