Tristan Vautier

Tristan Vautier ( born August 22, 1989 in Saint -Martin- d'Hères, Isère ) is a French racing driver. He was master of the Star Mazda Series in 2011 and 2012 champion of the Indy Lights. In 2013 he appears in the IndyCar Series.

Career

Vautier began his motorsport career in 2006 in the French Formula Renault Campus, where he won the runner-up title at first attempt. He was there on points with his teammate Kévin Estre, who had, however, are performing better placements. In 2007 he moved to the French Formula Renault and finished without a race victory, along with Charles Pic to fourth place in the overall standings. 2008 Vautier joined the Western European Formula Renault and finished sixth overall. 2009 Vautier went in the Formula Palmer Audi at the start. With six wins, he reached the fourth place in the overall standings. At the last race weekend of the Formula 2 season 2009 he gave as a substitute for Edoardo Piscopo his debut in Formula 2 He showed a good performance and has already achieved in his first race as a third podium placement. 2010 Vautier left Europe and moved to the North American Star Mazda Series for Andersen Racing. 2013 Vautier denied the complete season of IndyCar Series. He stayed with his team, who began in 2013 under the name Peterson Schmidt Motorsports.
