The Trishul (also Trisul; Hindi: त्रिशूल, Trisul ) is a 7120 m high mountain in the Garhwal region of India.

In 1907 an Anglo-French expedition succeeded in the first ascent of this mountain. This was the first ascent of a mountain with an altitude of over 7,000 m. In this ascent also the first time an attempt was made ​​to use supplemental oxygen as a climbing aid. But whether the entrained oxygen was also a help, could not be found. After the expedition, it took 21 years until a higher peak could be achieved.

Today is one of the most climbed Trishul own seven thousand, since it is relatively easy to achieve.

The Trishul has two minor peaks. The Trishul II has a height of 6,690 m, the Trishul III a height of 6,007 m. Both peaks were climbed in 1960 for the first time.
