Triumph Spitfire

The Triumph Spitfire was a roadster that was produced by the British car manufacturer Triumph from 1962 to 1980 in different versions.

The first Spitfire, the Spitfire 4 was built from October 1962 to December 1964. He was replaced by the Spitfire 4 MK2, which was produced from December 1964 to January 1967. Then the Spitfire MK3 appeared ( January 1967-December 1970 ). A modernized version was built from November 1970 to December 1974 Spitfire MK4 (1300). The last model was the Spitfire 1500, which was produced from December 1974 to August 1980.

The ADAC awarded the Spitfire 1500 because of its poor quality, the "Silver Lemon ".

1965 achieved the Spitfire class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a second Spitfire took second place the smallest category.
