Trocellen

The Trocellen GmbH with headquarters in Troisdorf is a company in the field of networked polyolefin foams. Trocellen operates worldwide together with its Japanese shareholders, Furukawa Electric and Otsuka Chemical and produced in eight countries.

Trocellen manufactures chemically and physically cross-linked polyolefin foams, which are expanded horizontally or vertically and can be supplied in rolls, sheets or boules. Trocellen is the only company in Europe that combines these production technologies.

Business areas and applications

Crosslinked, closed -cell polyolefin foams are used in particular for acoustic and thermal insulating applications, and in the divisions Automotive, Insulation, Sport & Industry, Footwear and Adhesive Tapes. Applications are air ducts for SUVs and sports cars, parquet documents, tunnel insulation, artificial turf documents, tatami mats and shoe inserts. The foams are characterized by long life and light weight.

History

Since 1972 Trocellen was a trademark of Dynamit Nobel or the HT Troplast from Troisdorf with production sites in Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary and Malaysia. End of 2000, the Trocellen group was converted into an independent company. 2005 Trocellen was acquired by Japanese companies Furukawa Electric and Otsuka Chemical.
