Trodat
The Trodat GmbH is an Austrian company which is the largest revenue stamp manufacturer in the world by its own account and on base. The headquarters of the international Trodat Group is located in Wels in Upper Austria. The privately held company Trodat employs more than 1,100 people worldwide.
History
The foundation stone for today's international group of companies was established in Vienna in 1912 with the foundation of a sole proprietorship Franz Just & Sons.
In tough economic times - second world war, occupation zones, currency reform, counter-trade - took place in 1951 Relocation to Upper Austria in the American occupation zone of good national and international transport links. It made its first exports to Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany.

The name Trodat
Today's company name (company) Trodat grew out of a product name. In 1947/ 48, the first plastic daters were produced with the name Trodat. Trodat is composed of the syllables dry and Dat. Tro is Trolitul - a plastic that was previously used for stamp production - and dat as an abbreviation of daters. In the late 1960s, was officially renamed after Trodat as a company.
