Trolleybuses in Lausanne

The Lausanne Trolleybus is the largest and oldest trolleybus network in Switzerland. It was opened on October 2, 1932 and replaced until 1964 successively the former tram of 1896 Today, the transport company operates Transports publics de la région lausannoise -. Abbreviated TL, formerly Tramways Lausannois - in Lausanne and the neighboring communities of Le Mont- sur -Lausanne, Lutry, Paudex, Prilly, Pully and Renens ten trolleybus lines. Lines

The line 8 since December 2009, this service is available via Bellevaux addition to Grand -Mont, but the TL only began in early 2011 with the 3.3 kilometer extension of the contact line. Current inventory

The trolleybus fleet of TL consists of 39 high-floor solo and 62 low-floor articulated trams. The former are an additional 30 low-floor trailer available. The Lausanne Trolleybus Trolleybus Lucerne is next to the one is to be found by the world's only two firms in which this form of operation. Former stock car and Museum

The trailer 981 retired in 2010 from the herd and has since been in the possession of the Museum Association RétroBus Léman. He is the first low-floor Trolleybusfahrzeug in Switzerland.
