Tromm (Odenwald)

The Tromm is 577 m above sea level. NHN the sixth highest mountain in the Odenwald (after Katzenbuckel, Neunkircher height, Hardenberg, boots height and Hart) and located in the southeast of the circle mountain road in Southern Hesse.
Location and Geology
The forested mountain ridge between Weschnitz Tromm - and Ulfenbachtal consists of a crystalline mountain soil of the Middle Odenwald on the border to the east adjoining sandstone -Odenwald and is one of its physiographic subunits, the Tromm -Odenwald, the name. Irene Tower
The 1910 built west of the peak height (today) 27 meters (originally 23 meters) high Irene Tower, an observation tower, named after a princess of Hesse- Darmstadt, Germany, is one of the landmarks of the region over the forest.
