Tromsdorf is a district of the city Eckartsberga in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.
Geography
Tromsdorf is up to the Finn, a ridge on the border Saxony-Anhalt/Thuringia natural preserve Saale -Unstrut Triasland.
Districts
In addition to the city Tromsdorf Eckartsberga include the districts Burgholzhausen, Radio Tower Settlement, Lindenberg, Lißdorf (already 800 mentioned in a document ), Marienthal, Mallendorf, Millingsdorf, Lower Holzhausen, Seena and Thüßdorf.
History
Tromsdorf was founded during the time of the Frankish conquest and came to the monastery of Fulda in Hesse later.
On 1 July 2009 Tromsdorf was, along with the districts Millingsdorf, Seena and Thüsdorf incorporated into the newly formed city Eckartsberga and dissolved the administrative community on the fin.
Pfefferminzbahn
1870 began the first preparation of the new railway line - the former hall -Unstrut Railroad. On April 1, 1874, was ready and the first locomotive ran from Buttstädt after Tromsdorf. On August 14, 1874, the route was Straußfurt - Großheringen officially released. Tromsdorf was one of the hall -Unstrut railway station and thus acquired access to the " big wide world".
At the opening of the route Kölledaer adorned the locomotive well with a loud peppermint garlands, so that someone allegedly shouted sarcastically: "Look, here comes our Pfefferminzbahn ". Since then, this hot track with the locals Pfefferminzbahn ( Pfeffi ), knows a story to tell.
Even today, this rail line is known and signposted in operation and as Pfefferminzbahn. In the spring of 2005, the stretch of Buttstädt after Tromsdorf was modernized. Since 1 February 2005, the route operates the Thüringer Eisenbahn GmbH.
Good and Folk Museum
The former manor house was reconstructed from 1987 to 1992 and is now next to the church with the rectory garden, the jewel in the community. In the manor house is located since 2000, the local history museum.
Sights & Culture
Worth seeing is the church with the pulpit altar (formed in 1751 ) and the baroque barn in the vicarage garden, as well as the manor house and the Waidmühlstein. Tromsdorf also has an active cultural and sports club.
