Trophy Wife

Trophy Wife ( to German as " trophy wife ", " woman booty " or more rarely " trophy females ") is a derogatory term used also for a usually good-looking young woman who marries an older, successful and well-off man.

Larger age differences in a relationship assume that one of the parties has a greater life experience than the other partner. The often correspond to the differences in the successes achieved.

Criticism of the phenomenon of Trophy Partners

Men are looking with an appropriate partner market value younger women, but also often suspected to be mainly interested in its success, money and influence in middle age. In English, the term "gold digger " is used to describe women who are consciously looking for a wealthy man.

With an age difference of 63 years, the marriage between the former Playmate Anna Nicole Smith and the oil billionaire James Howard Marshall is seen as an exceptional example of such a relationship. At the time of marriage Marshall was already 89 and Smith just 26 years old.

Criticism of the concept of the Trophy Wife

Human mate choice is influenced by a variety of factors. There are also successful with women much younger partners. Such relationships were rare because of their lower social acceptance or were held more often secret. In the meantime, however, it is mostly socially accepted if successful women in particular have much younger partner.
