The Sideshow Countess or Trottie dancing to happiness is a British musical comedy from 1949 directed by Brian Desmond Hurst, the main roles are played by Jean Kent and James Donald.

Action

The plot is set in the 1890s. Trottie True is a singer in a Music Hall in London. She has lost her heart to the poor Sid Skinner, but would prefer to marry rich. Among the men who swarm around Trottie, including the rich and serious aristocrat Lord Digby Landon. Trottie opts for the aristocrats, and considered in retrospect, if Sid would not have been a better choice.
