Troubsko

Troubsko ( German Strutz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers southwest of the center of Brno at the outskirts and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Troubsko located in the Troubsko - Střelická kotlina at the junction of the north-western foothills of the Thaya Schwarza valley floor to Bobravská Highlands. The village is located below the confluence of the creek the creek Augšperský Troubský Potok ( Mühlbach ). In the north, the Hradisko (333 m) and the Kohoutovická Baba rise (415 m), in the southwest of the Haneka (350 m) and west of the Šibeník (428 m). History

Between the end of the 19th century to the 1940s, it came into Trousko to archaeological finds, which can be dated to the Paleolithic. Behind the cemetery 23 early Christian tombs were discovered in 1946.

The oldest written mention of the village was carried out in 1237 in a document Wenceslas I, recorded as a witness in the Robert of Troubsko. The place was split in the middle ages between different owners. Between 1317 and 1389 consisted of Troubsko a fief of the Bishopric of Olomouc. 1349 bought by the Prior of the Brno Ludger Dominican Order, together with his niece Catherine a share of the village, which the gave the Brno Herburgen Monastery.
