Troy Castaneda

Troy Castaneda (* November 15, 1989 in Mountain View ) is an American race car driver.

Career

Castaneda began his motorsport career in karting in 2005 and remained until 2006 in this sport. In 2007 he moved to Formula racing and competed in the Formula Russell. He won three races and finished fourth in the drivers' standings. 2008 Castaneda took part in the Italian Formula Master of two races in Europe. In 2009 he competed in the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School Championship and returned in addition to this and the next season in karting back.

2011 tested Castaneda in the Indy Lights for Bryan Herta Autosport. He finally got a cockpit for the first Indy Lights race of the 2012 season at Bryan Herta Autosport. In this he reached the ninth and was finally taken for another race under contract. In the rest of the season he was no longer used. He was 19th in the driver standings.
