Troy Dumais

Troy Matthew Bek Dumais ( born January 21, 1980 in Oxnard, Ventura County) is an American diver. He starts for the Woodlands Diving Team in the disciplines of art jumping from the 1- m and 3- m- board and in the 3 -meter synchronized diving. Dumais has won numerous medals at World Swimming Championships and Pan American Games.

He took part in three Olympic Games so far. In the art of jumping from the 3 -meter board in 2000 he was in Sydney, 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing each sixth. In 2000 he was again with David Pichler also fourth in 3 -meter synchronized diving and in the same competition in 2004 with his brother Justin Dumais sixth.

His first international medal he won at the 1998 World Cup in Perth, where he won silver from 1 -meter board. At the 2005 World Championships in Montreal, he won silver in springboard diving from the 3 -meter board and together with his brother Justin bronze medal in 3 -meter synchronized diving. 2009 in Rome could Dumais repeat his silver medal from the 3 -meter board. With his new partner Kristian Ipsen he won the 3 -meter synchronized diving also silver.

In Pan American Games Dumais won 1999-2011 a total of six medals, including a gold medal in 2007 in Rio de Janeiro.

Dumais won 33 titles at the national championships. 1997, 2006 and 2009 he was selected by the U.S. Association for the diver of the year. In 1995 he was twice world junior champion.
