Truce of Deulino

The Treaty of Deulino was on December 11, 1618 concluded between Poland - Lithuania and the Russian Tsardom armistice agreement that ended the Polish- Russian war 1609-1618. The Contract was located near Moscow Deulino.

In the agreement, both sides committed themselves to a ceasefire of fourteen and a half years. Russia recognized the Polish-Lithuanian rule over the region of Smolensk, Chernihiv and Novhorod - Seversky, were formed from the separate provinces. The treaty marked the time of the greatest extension of the aristocratic republic to the east. On the other hand, Russia was able to fend Polish claims to the imperial crown and so maintain its sovereignty.

Poland - Lithuania lost him granted in the contract areas after the Russo - Polish War 1654-1667 in the Treaty of Andrussowo again; moreover, it had to cede the territories east of the Dnieper, including Kiev.
