Trucks and Bus Company

The Trucks and Bus Company, or shortly also TBCO and T & BC, was founded in 1976 joint venture between the Italian Industrial Vehicles Corporation and the state-owned Libyan Secretariat of Industry and Mineral Resources. The company's headquarters was located in Tagiura. Another factory for operation of the manufacturers in the capital Tripoli.

Initially started as a simple assembler for the local market demand, the company has developed into one of the largest suppliers of Iveco. Last supplied by the manufacturer, the assembly plants in Spain, Portugal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt with a chassis and a variety of other vehicle parts.

After the fall of the Gaddafi regime during the Libyan civil war, the company introduced in late 2011, its activities temporarily. After trials on corruption charges by the newly appointed transitional government, a reconstruction was imitated. The work was resumed in February 2013.
