Information on album

The title song, which was written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, Lauper's secured status as a successful record producer and singer. It was by many other artists - including Phil Collins, Natasha St. Pier, Anna Tsuchiya, Tanya Chua, Olivia Ong and Kasey Chambers - gecovert and was as threads song for the 1988 Summer Olympics, the Rugby Union World Cup in 2003 and for Kodak cameras and films.

The album achieved in the United States double - platinum status.

While the album in the United States has been relatively successful, this was not the case in the UK. In other countries, it did not achieve the success of the previous album She's So Unusual. The singles " True Colors ," " Change of Heart ", " What's Going On ", and " Boy Blue" were released from the album. Each single has a own music video. However, the video for " Boy Blue" was nothing more than a live performance of their Zenith Concert in Paris This song also left no great impression on the charts, although the music video was in the summer of 1987, often sent to on MTV.

True Colors was released in Japan as an exclusive limited edition in a remastered CD box again, which included 11 items.
