Trügleben is a district of the rural community Hörsel in the northwest of the Thuringian Landkreis Gotha.

Location

The total area of the district is 607 hectares Trügleben. It is located west of Gotha and just south of the main road 7 in the arable area of the Thuringian Basin. South of the railway line Gotha -Eisenach runs with the stop Fröttstedt and even somewhat further south, the Federal Highway 4 connector at Gotha and Walter Hausen.

History

Archaeological finds of graves suggest that the area was inhabited since the second millennium BC. The documentary first mention of Trügleben took place in 1267. The farmers of the predominantly agricultural village also went the way of the East German agriculture.

On 18 March 1994 Trügleben was one of the seven founding communities of the administrative community Hörsel. By order of the Thuringian state parliament on 16 November 2011, the administrative community Hörsel was disbanded on 1 December 2011 and by a voluntary group of ten previously independent municipalities Unteraspach, Ebenheim, Fröttstädt, Hörselgau, Lauchagrund, Mechterstädt, Metebach, Teutleben, Trügleben and Weingarten rural community Hörsel be re- formed.

Policy

Former Mayor

In the mayoral election on June 12, 1994 Erich Lauterbach was elected honorary mayor of the community. He was confirmed in the mayoral elections on 13 June 1999, June 27, 2004 and June 6, 2010 in his office. His term began on 1 July 2010. With the conversion to the rural community he was from December 1, 2011 for the district mayor ( with a term of office until 2016).
