Trulben

Trulben is a municipality in the southwest, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Pirmasens country.

Geography

Trulben located southeast of Kröppen in Zweibrücker hills in a wide valley surrounded by rocks. East direction Pirmasens the district Hochstellerhof situated on 430 m height. Below springs the Trualbe which unites in Trulben with two tributary streams.

Districts of Trulben are next to the villages Trulben and Hochstellerhof the hamlet Felsenbrunnerhof, Imsbacherhof and Trulbermühle; continues to be one of the living space Winterbrunnerhof to the community.

History

Trulben in 1307 mentioned as Druhalben, the hamlet Imsbacherhof 1404 as Ymesbach. Both belonged to the reign Lviv, which in 1570 was up to the extinction of the line belonged to the counts of Zweibrücken- Bitsch, then came to the Counts of Hanau -Lichtenberg and 1736 to the Landgrave of Hesse -Darmstadt.

Before Imsbach had sunk to a courtyard, it had its own district. Hochstellerhof was 1745.

The local council in Trulben consists of 16 council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms

The blazon of the arms is: " In gold with red left flank, in a golden Abtstab, top three red chevrons, down three blue wave bar".

The rafters come from originally the coat of arms of Hanau- Lichtenberg.

The flag is red and yellow.

Leisure and Tourism

With the steep rock walls behind the houses Trulben provides a picturesque backdrop. Through the wooded valleys around the place run several hiking trails.

The Catholic Church of St. Stephen holds a pulpit from the Abbey Sturzelbronn, the earlier rights held in Trulben. The Felsenbrunnerhof is a handsome farm of 1788.
