Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands

The Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands ( Trust Territory of the Pacific English Islands, TTPI ) was a Trust Territory, which were passed on 18 July 1947 by the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations the United States to manage. The Trust Territory was previously assigned by a League of Nations to the Japanese Empire mandated territory, the Japanese South Seas mandate.

History

After the Trust Territory was established in July 1947, changed the jurisdiction of the United States Department of the Navy to the Interior Ministry and Louis E. Economy
