TS Woltmershausen

TS Woltmershausen is a sports club from the district of Bremen Woltmershausen. The first football team of men took part twice in the DFB Cup. The first football team of women once played by the DFB Cup. The first handball womens team played two years in the 2nd Bundesliga.

History

The club dates back to the gymnastics and sports club Woltmershausen of 1890 and the 1900 founded FV Woltmershausen, which was dissolved in May 1945. On 3 March 1946, founded as a successor to the TSV Woltmershausen, went into its also the TV Woltmershausen 1890. On July 10, 1946 was from the TSV TV Woltmershausen. Former members of the FV Woltmershausen were split on 8 March 1947 as SV Woltmershausen from. Finally, both club reunited on 27 September 1974.

Men's Football

The first sporting successes of FV Woltmershausen achieve in the 1920s when the team 1923-1928 in the prime area league Weser / Jade played. From 1943 to 1945, the FVW played in the Gauliga Weser -Ems. After the Second World War, the SV Woltmershausen 1949 promotion to the time of his second-class division Bremen, which was maintained until 1959. Two years later, managed to rise again. After the immediate resurgence of the team reached 1987 again the third place. After the renewed decline in 1998 TSW was a lift club. After the federation League relegation in 2005 the team was put through to the District League, before two climbs the club again in 2011 transported in a row in the Bremen-Liga. With Tobias Duffner the club produced a third league players. In summer 2012, the TSW landed on the last seat of the Bremen-Liga and therefore had to go back into the sechstklassige division Bremen.

Women's Soccer

In the 2011/12 season, the footballers of the TS Woltmershausen qualified first for the DFB Cup after the 4-2 ATS Buntentor defeated in the Bremen Cup final. In the first round at the federal level, the team had to put up against the second division BV Cloppenburg a 0:14 defeat. The first team plays in the fourth division regional league Bremen.

Handball

The handball team of TS Woltmershausen managed in 1993 promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga Nord. After two years of decline followed. After several years in the Regionalliga in 2007 followed the descent into the league.
