Tsangpa Gyare

Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje ( Tib. rgya ras ye shes gtsang pa rdo rje; * 1161, † 1211 ) was a Tibetan Trülku Drugpa Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He was the first Gyelwang Drugpa ( rgyal dbang ' brug pa), ie the highest priest of the Drukpa Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

He was a student Lingrepas ( Lingchen repair; Tib gLing Ras Padma rDo rje, 1128-1188, from the Phagdru Kagyu school, a student of Phagmo Drupa ), the founder of the Middle Drukpa tradition (bar brug ').
