Tsenzhab Serkong Rinpoche

Tsenshab Serkong Rinpoche (* 1914, † 1983) was a monk and scholar of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. Even as a child he became a novice at Ganden Monastery. His studies at the local Faculty " Changtse Dratshang " he graduated with the title " Geshe Lharampa ", the highest Geshe degree. Tsenshab Serkong Rinpoche had many students, including Alexander Berzin. At the age of 34, he was Tsenshab ( " assistant tutor " ) of the 14th Dalai Lama.

The makers of the movie Star Wars was Tsenshab Serkong Rinpoche as a model for the character of Yoda.
