Tsering Wangmo Dhompa

Tsering Wangmo Dhompa ( born March 6, 1969 in North India ) is a Tibetan poet whose family from the eastern Tibetan Nangchen ( Kham ) is derived. She grew up in Dharamsala, India and Kathmandu, Nepal, on and now lives in San Francisco, USA.

Their best-known works were published in the two volumes of poetry Rules of the House and In the Absent Everyday. In 2003 she was nominated for the Asian American Literary Award. Her works appear deceptively simple, the poems and character sketches draw lyrically from a rich present and a soaked memories of the past. With Letter For Love she gave from her first prose poetry.

The poet who has made a master's degree in English Literature at Lady Shri Ram College in New Delhi, is engaged in the American Himalayan Foundation, San Francisco, for Tibetan issues.
