Tsinandali wine

Tsinandali or Tsinandali (Georgian წინანდალი ) is the brand name of the most famous white wine that comes from the wine region of the eponymous district of Telavi in the Georgian region of Kakheti. The vineyard is located in the valley of Alazani.

He is a traditional blend of the varieties named Rkatsiteli ( 85%) and Mzwane (15 %). This wine has a straw yellow color and is classified as " dry white wine ". He usually stored at least two years in oak barrels before it enters the trade.

The first Tsinandali was produced in 1886.

Taste

The Tsinandali has a strong, fruity aroma. On the palate is dominated by a sour taste. In the final he develops a slight bitterness, reminiscent of the juice of the grapefruit. For this reason, it is primarily used in the summer as a dessert wine.
