Tsu (Mie)
Tsu (Japanese津市, -shi, literally: port) is a city and the administrative center of Mie prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan, located at the Ise Bay just 60 km south of Nagoya.
History
Tsu was originally a castle town. During the Edo period, many hikers stopped on the way to the Ise Shrine, which lies 40 km to the southeast, on the city.
The appointment was for Shi on April 1, 1889.
