Tsuchiura

Tsuchiura (Japanese土 浦 市, -shi) is a city in southern Ibaraki prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.

Geography

Tsuchiura is the second largest lake in Japan, the 220 ​​km ² large Kasumigaura.

Tsuchiura is 64 km from Tōkyō.

History

The first mention took place in 1329. During the Muromachi period (1333-1568) the castle of Tsuchiura was built.
