Tsukahara (vault)

Tsukahara is an element in gymnastics (horse jumping ).

Basically, it is a rollover sideways perched with a quarter turn and backward somersault. This form has been greatly expanded over the years and is now also jumped quite stretched with double to triple screw. Another form of Tsukaharas is a double somersault with integrated whole longitudinal axis of rotation, which in almost all devices (floor, rings, parallel bars, high bar, trampoline, beam, uneven bars ) is gymnastics. This form is today, gymnastics in different variants, eg with Twists or stretched position. The first " triple -doubles " stretched, which is a double salto backward stretched with three integrated Twists, was shown in 1991 by Sergei Fedorchenko ( KAZ).

The exercise was first gymnastics Mitsuo Tsukahara from the Japanese master and then also named after him. His son, Naoya Tsukahara won at the 1999 World Championships in Tianjin ( China), the silver medal in the all-around final of the men behind Nikolay Krukov (RUS ).
