Tsumkwe

Tsumkwe is a settlement with more than 500 inhabitants in the region Otjozondjupa (Namibia).

Tsumkwe is the administrative seat of the homonymous constituency (identical to the former Homeland Bushmanland ). The entire district has about 8800 inhabitants (of which 2400 San ) and an area of ​​about 13,200 square kilometers. The constituency area is compared to the infrastructure in the rest of Namibia is not well developed for the most part.

The village is located about 60 kilometers west of the border with Botswana and 200 km east of Grootfontein and among other things is known as the southern gateway to the Khaudom National Park. However, there are only basic facilities.
