The Tsurumi Station (Japanese鹤 见 駅, Tsurumi -eki ) is located in Yokohama City (city district Tsurumi ) in Kanagawa Prefecture on the Keihin - Tohoku Line of East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

History

On October 15, 1872, the station from the Ministry of Railways ( forerunner of the Japanese National Railways ) was opened along the Tōkaidō Main Line. At the beginning only passenger was carried out from 1889 also freight transport took place. Over the years, other routes have been connected.

On November 9, 1963 between Tsurumi Station and the Station Shin- Koyasu one of the worst railway accident in Japan, in which 161 people died occurred.
