TSV Kottern

The history of the teams in the sport of ice hockey in Kempten began at TSV Kottern -St. Mang of Kempten ( Allgäu). Over a longer period the teams were based at the EA Kempten, where there were other teams in Kempten. News has been re-established for the operation of the club game ESC Kempten.

History

1950/1951 bis 1983

Having already existed in 1950 ice hockey teams in Kempten, this 1951 TSV Kottern -St closed. Mang on, played to completion of the art ice rink on natural and could win the 1976 Bavarian State League Championship. After 1977 this was completed in Kempten, the Hockey department of TSV played from 1978/79 under the EA Kempten- Kottern in a similar structure as the EA Schongau on. From the 1979/80 season the team played its first match in the higher-class leagues game operating in the Regionalliga Süd with.

Since the 1981/82 season the teams played in either the old 2 League South or in the Oberliga Süd with.

1983-2000

In the summer of 1983 separated the Hockey Department TSV Kottern and was under the name EA Kempten ( Ice Athletics Kempten ( Allgäu ) eV) an independent association. When TSV Kottern still an amateur team remained, who participated until the 1985/86 season back at the game leagues operating in the lower leagues of the Bavarian Ice Sports Federation.

After the summer of 1987 a bankruptcy procedure for EA Kempten was to survive, for the relegation of the team for the 1987/1988 season was initiated in the Regionalliga Süd from club page. In the 1993/94 season the team got down from the league in 1994 and was placed in the lower leagues of the Bavarian Ice Sports Association as part of the introduction of the DEL. It was not until the 1999/2000 season succeeded again the promotion to the Regionalliga Süd.

At least in the season 1987/88 and 1988/89 took in the national League Bayern also attended by the SV Cambodunum Kempten in the game mode, in which up to season 1990/91 is also a women's team was located.

2000-2002

As the financial problems in the EA Kempten were always greater in the 2000/ 01 season, as the third club to EA Kempten and TSV Kottern the Hockey Club ( EC ) Kempten was founded.

For the 2001/ 02 season, the EC took Kempten addition to the two other clubs with a seniors team in the lowest league of the Bavarian Ice Sports Federation, the district league Bavaria, the game operation in part, only to withdraw it back already after one season from playing.

2002-2004

In the spring of 2002, the EA Kempten went into administration and the first team was outsourced to the polar bears Kempten GmbH, who participated in the league in 2002/ 03. Junior and amateur team continued to play at the club EA Kempten.

After the first team in 2003/ 04 relegation from the top league, the insolvency proceedings for EA Kempten was planned to be completed by 30 June 2004 and report a seniors team for Bayern league. This attempt failed, however.

From 2004 /05

In the 2004/05 season the Hockey department of TSV Kottern reported in addition to their seniors team that participated in the national league fünftklassigen Bavaria, also the youth teams of EA Kempten under their name to the game mode.

From 2007 /08

In April 2007, the end of the sport of hockey on TSV Kottern was known. Beginning of May 2007 was established with the ESC Kempten, a new club in order to continue the operation of gambling in the 2007/ 08 season can. The association now has 240 members. (As of September 12, 2012 )

In the first season of the ESC Kempten participated with his seniors team at the sechstklassigen District League Bavaria and with the youth teams at the game and was operating loss point free master of the District League West and was thus ascended sporty in the national league. The final of the Bavarian district league championship lost the ESC Kempten in two games against SC Gaissach and thus was vice-champion of the Bavarian District League 2007/2008. In the following season 2008/2009 the crew of the ESC Kempten participated in the national league west and finished in the first round of the Western Group of the 7th Place. In the subsequent relegation round of the ESC managed to avoid relegation, finishing in 5th place. 2009/2010 missed the club in the national league west in fifth just under the promotion round. In the following relegation round of the national league south / west of Kempten ESC came in 1st place. In the next season 2010/2011 the ESC Kempten was able to complete the newly constituted State League South / West with the 4th place of 15 teams. Of the old men of the division occupied the West ESC Kempten 2nd place behind the EA Schongau. Again missed the ESC 2011/2012 in the State League South / West 5th place out of 14 teams just the play-offs for the Bavarian League.

The season 2012/2013 the national league South / West with 15 teams finished the ESC Kempten with the 4th Place. This is the most up to date after the season 2010/2011 the best placement of the ESC Kempten in the fledgling club's history.
