TSV Victoria Linden

The Gymnastics and Sports Club Victoria Linden is a sports club in Hanover, which was founded in 1900 in Linden. The TSV Victoria Linden was a founding member of the Rugby League 1971/1972.

Description

Other departments of the club next to the now playing in the 1st Bundesliga North Rugby department are netball, athletics, triathlon, gymnastics, aerobics and children's gymnastics.

Achievements

The rugby team with 20 league titles in the men's rugby, in 1928, and 8 Cup victories the most successful German club rugby. Other championships were won in 1975, 1987.1989, 1992 to 1994 and 1996 in the years 1948, 1951-1956, 1958, 1962, 1965, 1969, 1972.

The DRV Cup was won by TSV 1965, 1966, 1982, 1989 and 1991-1993.

In the European Cup the team 1963/64, reached the 5th round. 1996/97 reached the TSV Victoria Linden in the Euro Cup the small final, where there was a 39:17 victory over the RC Doik suffering from the Netherlands. A year later informed you with the RG Heidelberg to a 29:17 and a 26:38 for third place, as both had 55 game points. A year later informed you look at the third place with the DRC Hannover.

In the season 2006/ 07 the 2nd Bundesliga Nord the team was relegated from the Bundesliga first fourth.

The students and youth of TSV Victoria Linden reached six championships.
